The Big Announcement

We're Moving To South Carolina!

We always knew that we would move back closer to family once we were ready to start a family. Jenn and I both thought that move would come in another 2-3 years but the Lord seems to have other plans. With recent uprootings of sorts, we both felt the Lord calling us back to the East Coast, specifically South Carolina. We will be closer to both of our families and will  be able to put some roots down.

I know with this announcement, there are going to be questions. I hope to do my  best in trying to answer the ones I've heard so far.

Question #1: Why are you moving? I thought you loved Colorado
We do absolutely love Colorado and this beautiful state will always be a part of our story. We fell in love here and got engaged here. Just because we are moving doesn't mean that something went wrong. We took time to pray and process through this move. In fact, we could easily stay here and settle down but we feel the Lord telling us to do otherwise. We both have great friends in Colorado whom we will miss dearly. We're leaving the church that I moved to Colorado to help plant....that's not easy or fun to do. Part of this move will be incredibly sad because we're leaving people that we love. We plan to visit when we can. It won't be the last time that the Harveys are in Colorado. We love this beautiful state.

Question #2: Do you guys have a plan or jobs in South Carolina?
We have a small plan for the in the between. We're fully trusting the Lord to provide and so far He has done just that. We will be staying with my(Reh's) Dad and stepmom for a couple of months with the intention of moving up to Greenville, SC around August. We are both already looking for jobs in Greenville so please be in prayer for that. This may seem like a blind move for some but we both fully believe that the Lord is leading us there and if He is leading us, then he will provide. He hasn't failed either one of us yet, and He isn't going to start now.

Question #3: Do you guys need any help with the move?
With the actual move, I believe we have it under control. What we could use some help in is getting our names out there with jobs, specifically in Greenville. Jenn is looking at trying to getting into a Behavioral Health career path and I am looking at getting back into Digital Marketing/Advertising. We will also be looking for places to rent and potentially buy. This is a big move for us so if you know of anyone in the Greenville area that we can connect with and get to know either for business or just for friends, let us know. We are true believers that life is meant to be lived in community, so we will be making it an early priority to build that community in our new home.

Please continue to pray for us during this move. While we're both excited for the move, we are not looking forward to leaving our CO friends. It's going to be hard. Frankly, it is going to be heartbreaking. We are sad to leave to them and we know there will be times where we will question this move. We love them dear and the pain of missing them will be something we will have to work through. Pray for our job situation as well as where we're going to live. Satan is already attacking this plan spiritually and personally. While I know this is only confirmation we are moving in the right direction, it still doesn't make it any easier. Please pray for our marriage during this transition and each of us individually.

To our Colorado friends Family,

First, we want you to know how much we love you. You have been there for us through everything and we can't thank you enough. For those that moved with the church, you know what Jenn and I are going through because we followed a similar path that led us to Colorado. We want you to know that this isn't anything personal. We aren't moving because we're mad or don't like it here anymore. We are simply following Jesus.

We will miss you guys more than you know. We ask that you pray for us as we go through a starting over of sorts. Finding new community to dive into isn't easy but we are confident that the Lord is going before us.  We've gone through many life events in Colorado and many of you have been beside us through all of it.

We ask for your prayers as we go through this move.

We love you.

Onto the next chapter of our story...
