If Jesus wasn't executed there's no celebration

Im just going to start off by what Im feeling right now. That feeling is terrified, but in a good way. We are currently on our second "break away" from our homesteads. Last night we had a young couple come and talk to us about the organization Children's Cup. As they were talking, I started feeling anxious. I knew God was talking to me but I was kinda scared to listen because I was pretty sure of what he was telling me. He's telling me to pursue a career of a career missionary. Let me simplify what the means...it means leaving behind everything and everyone in America to pursue the Lord's work where ever He would want me to go.It means leaving America for a career, which means life-long. Let me say this again, that terrifies me, but I know if the Lord wants me to do it, then that's the only choice. Please pray that God will make that decision more clear to me.

Over the past couple days, I have began to realize the similarities and the contrasts between Swaziland and America. I'm obviously not talking about the obvious ones like language barriers. Im talking about the way the people live and their actions towards certain things. After contemplating that subject, I realized that America has got some things extremely wrong when it comes to Christianity. A lot of people in my home town claim to be Christian and I know for some, that statement is true. The thing that bothers me though is the same people who will be in Church on Sunday will be the same people doing what the Bible says not to do at other times. This is called Hypocrisy. This is why Christianity is declining in America because our credibility has been shot by those who are using the word "Christian" lightly.  I didn't see this blatant hypocrisy while I was growing up because I was part of it. Growing up in a small town, things like partying and having sex were seen stuff that teens were expected to do. Parents turned their eye away from it but still claimed to be of the Christian faith. The standard for living a Christian life is the Bible, anything less than what the Bible says is sinful. This is talked about in the Bible in the Book of Revelations, chapter 3, verse 16. Lukewarm people will not inherit the Kingdom of God, its clearly said. I do not say this to offend people, I say it in hopes that people will awaken to their sin, just as I did.

So I would talk about what we've been doing the past couple weeks since my last blog but its been a lot of the same things: presenting True Love Waits and working around our communities. The guys team is helping repaint some stuff for the church we attend here, which is going to be a good project to do. Today, June 28th, we went on a safari...yes a actual African safari. Although this particular game reserve didn't have big cats, we got to see many different animals, including rhino, giraffes, and hippos, all in their natural environment.  This wasn't a zoo folks. Did I mention that we got as close as 10 feet away from the rhinos and the elephants. It was an amazing experience I will never forget.

Please continue to pray for us as we hit our half way mark on Sunday. God has blessed our team immensely through the Swazis. I know I say it over and over again, but He is doing awesome things here.

May I boast in God alone.
